To celebrate their centennial, San Diego City College looked to their design program department to offer up designs and concepts. The Centennial is a time to reflect on the college’s history and an opportunity to set the tone for the future.
To increase brand awareness of the new identity designed by MiresBall and to implement that vision into an interactive experience.
To quickly introduce the new identity, a series of wallpapers were designed to be used on the school’s computers and devices. Turning the school’s computers and devices into touch-points for the new identity. Next, a student-centric app was designed with the goal of creating a digital layer to the City College experience. That app would give students relevant information and useful tools. CityMoves Interactive was a feature of that app, that would allow students to interact with the campus, without the use of QR codes or NFC tags.
